Day 8 (just kidding, sort of)

For a different take on the Allemande (and ensuing movements), I have long been neglecting to link to the good people at Houston Public Radio, who had me on their program… I begin playing at 8 and a half minutes in. Otherwise, I simply babble away, it seems.

I’m not entirely sure why yet, but I seem to prefer the home-recorded version. Somehow more immediate, more personal to me. Both are wonderful, to be sure, and I can only pray that soon an album(cd/digital release, whatever) of solo bach is forthcoming, but the home version (due in some part to the environmental noises) immediately brings the listener to your apartment, feeling the solitude (romantic illusion of artist in lonely isolation?) of your practice.

Continue to inspire us, as you always seem to do…and please come to Chicago!

I agree w/ the home-recorded version. That’s what made me feel lonely and connected to the solitude of your afternoon affection. Yes, we’re looking for a JD ALL BACH Cd! Where is it?
Continue obsessing Mr. Bach’s music and infect us w/ your wisdom and analysis. Thank you for sharing this wonderful addicting passion. I hope from it and w/ your music, you’ll continue to touch the human aspect of life. Your musical blog cafe is worth the sip.

The Houston interview was also incredible. Glad we got to hear your voice once again, professor.

HAPPY 37th Birthday? never mind…. you’re young and what a poetic soul, you are Jeremy!!! Please do more solo concerts and also chamber music w/ other great musicians. We love your direction.

For a different take on the Allemande….

Yessir. That’s more like it. You almost nailed it. The conversation, that is.

ACD, I bet YOU never gave anyone an Allemande on your birthday.

Yikes. I just realized that my above, “The conversation, that is,” is unwittingly ambiguous. I forgot completely about the interview. I meant, of course, the Bachian conversation, not your conversation with the program host.

    Sorry for any confusion.
