I think that analysis of the question would be more to the point.
What exactly is the question?
Why what is?
Why are there polls?
Why do polls show something?
Do polls actually mean any thing?
That 80 per cent can find this elusive little place?
As far as I’m concerned, Miss Teen improvised a magnificent a capella satire on the impossible dissonance of the question and resolved it the only way it could be resolved.
The capability to create satire of this brilliance on the fly is solid evidence of a great intellect.

Why do I feel like this masterpiece should end with, “One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” I suppose there are no intellectual prerequisites for participation in the Miss Teen USA pageant, although coherent sentence construction would be an admirable start. Hey, is there a talent segment of the pageant as well or do they just cut straight to the swimwear part and call it a day?

To me it sounds as though her final mumbled words are “build up our future for our children.” Would this alter your analysis? Is there some other hidden theme lurking in here? Like such as?

To my ears, it all sounds very Gertrude Stein. Miss Teen South Carolina is just the culmination of that forbidding writer’s madly prescient “The Making of Americans.” Somebody should compose a Virgil Thomson style hymn tune to accompany it.

Your analysis is enlightening, but it’s her interpretation of the score that really makes the music sing. The key moment is the retransition – throughout the development, a searching, hesitant monotone is employed until the word “here” propels us towards the recap. Listen to how she takes it to a new level in this section: “they should our education over HERE in the US should …” My heart jumps each time I hear that “here,” as she proves against all odds that she’s going to make it home. (As for the odds or her finding home on a map . . .)
