Richard Scheinin San Jose Mercury News ... The program also marked the debut with the orchestra of pianist Jeremy Denk, whose technical command is nothing but an entrance-way to the music's inner chambers. He is a sensational musician. Denk was extraordinary here: firmly etched bass notes, lightly stenciled flights of the right hand, ravishing clarity. Plus, he played with such love of the music; he isn't afraid to emote his Mozart. Joshua Kosman, San Francisco Chronicle ... pianist Jeremy Denk, underused in his Symphony debut, offered a thoughtful, beautifully weighted account of the last two movements from the A-Major Piano Concerto, K. 488.
